Expert on psychology of motivation
Arlene Lundquist came to Utica College in 2000 as an Associate Professor in Psychology after previous academic positions at Creighton University and Mount Union College. She was broadly trained in life span development psychology, earning degrees in Psychology (B.A.), Counseling (M.A.), and Child and Family Studies (Ph.D.).
Since coming to Utica College, Arlene Lundquist’s research interests have been in motivational psychology with dual focuses on interpersonal trust and trust in social institutions, and she maintains an ongoing program of pedagogical research. Her research on trust motivation focuses on trust in the course of interpersonal relationships (parent-child, love, and friendship) and trust in social institutions such as health, religion, and the legal system.
Arlene provides MANNA with a wealth of knowledge in the area of family studies and trust motivation providing crucial insight for conceptualization of patient programs.
